Doolittle legacy honored, RPA aviators continue to deliver justice

There were moments, which through their pure magnitude galvanized the nation, inspiring those to act, forever altering the fabric of our lives. In the weeks following the attack on Pearl Harbor, one group of men would attempt the impossible and forever shift the course of history. Today, these men, known simply as the Doolittle Raiders, continue to inspire Airmen to defend the nation, hunting down her enemies and delivering justice, anytime, anywhere.

Childcare provider program aims to help RPA families

Airmen stationed here, juggling childcare needs while supporting a 24/7/365 mission can be challenging. However, the Family Child Care office at Nellis AFB, Nev., is developing solutions to help Creech members balance their home and work life by supplementing childcare needs in the Northwest part of the Las Vegas community. “The FCC provider program allows for providers to do childcare out of their homes,” said Regina Mullins, Nellis and Creech FCC chief. “Having providers in the (local) area allows for a home environment with a smaller ratio of adults to children and helps offset costs.”

Fight’s On: CSAF shares combat-minded perspective

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein toured Creech for an in-depth look at the Remotely Piloted Aircraft enterprise and the many Airmen who work around the clock to assure mission success Jan. 9, 2017. As a former MQ-9 Reaper pilot, Goldfein has previous experience within the RPA community. However, on this visit, he had the opportunity to tour the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing and base operations.

Next level of RPA operations, USAFCENT commander recognizes Airmen

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey L. Harrigian, Air Forces Central Command commander, visited the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing, which played a key role in the liberation of more than 99 percent of ISIS-held territory in in 2017, Jan. 8, 2018. Harrigian met with the 432nd WG/432nd AEW and 799th Air Base Group Airmen who deliver 24/7/365 persistent attack and reconnaissance among the most requested downrange assets against our nation’s enemies.

COMACC visits Creech to discuss RPA enterprise future

The Commander of Air Combat Command, Gen. Mike Holmes, and ACC Command Chief, Chief Master Sgt. Frank Batten, visited the men and women of Creech Air Force Base, Nev., Jan. 6, 2018. Holmes and Batten met with Creech leadership to discuss future installation and mission opportunities. They also toured operational squadrons to greet the Airmen of the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing and see them perform their critical mission.

Motivating Sheepdogs: Army colonel shares knowledge

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Dave Grossman recently visited team Creech to discuss living a life of sacrifice and coping with the effects of combat, Nov. 13-14, 2017. Grossman, a former U.S. Military Academy West Point Psychology professor and the director of the Warrior Science Group, has researched the psychological cost of military service and the war on terrorism and now uses that knowledge to educate service members, law enforcement professionals and university students across the U.S.

USO center debuts at Creech

USO Las Vegas held a grand opening ceremony in honor of its newest facility at Creech AFB on Oct. 12, 2017. It’s one of four locations ran by the chapter and is their first debut on an Air Force installation in Nevada. Volunteers hosted a barbecue to celebrate the event and USO representatives spoke about what the USO had to offer.

Vegas Strong: Airmen and families support victims of shooting

After the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history, the Las Vegas community was left saddened and distraught, but not broken. Airmen from Nellis and Creech Air Force Base sprang into action to help on the domestic battlefield, doing all they could to help victims, their families and their beloved community. “Our 432nd Wing Hunters specialize in finding and neutralizing foreign threats who seek to harm our innocent citizens,” said Col. Julian Cheater, 432nd Wing and 432nd Air Expeditionary Wing commander. “Homegrown attackers are more difficult to locate.”
