No place to hide: CSAF lauds combat RPA innovation

Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein visited Creech and met with 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing Airmen, Jan. 15, 2019. Throughout his visit, Goldfein toured the base, received an update of current MQ-9 Reaper operations, and met with Airmen who support the MQ-9 mission.

USO center debuts at Creech

USO Las Vegas held a grand opening ceremony in honor of its newest facility at Creech AFB on Oct. 12, 2017. It’s one of four locations ran by the chapter and is their first debut on an Air Force installation in Nevada. Volunteers hosted a barbecue to celebrate the event and USO representatives spoke about what the USO had to offer.

Upgraded MQ-9s continue to deploy downrange

As MQ-1 Predators transition from the Air Force’s active-duty aircraft inventory, they are being replaced downrange by the newly upgraded “Block 5” MQ-9 Reapers. This enables combatant commanders’ uninterrupted persistent attack and reconnaissance capabilities. The recent upgrades include updated software and increased flight range. Airmen at Creech AFB are working to make the transition a smooth one as they continue overseeing the shipment process for a total of 16 Block 5s which will be delivered to various areas of responsibility.
