CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. -- The 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing commander, Col. Stephen Jones, has declared a public health emergency (PHE) to better align with the declared national public emergency, Nevada emergency measures, and Center for Disease Control guidance in response to COVID-19. The PHE is also in-line with Nellis AFB’s PHE, and recommendations from the Public Health Emergency Officer, in accordance with DoDI 6200.03 and AFI 10-2519.

This declaration will provide Creech AFB with the tools necessary to protect our Airmen, their families and help limit the spread of the virus. This will increase the installation’s ability to protect the force, safeguard national security missions, and support whole-of-government efforts to combat COVID-19.

The declaration allows the installation commander additional authority to enforce social distancing. This includes providing additional telework opportunities, expanding the civilian leave policy and further restricting base access if required.

Creech remains in Health Protection Condition (HPCON) Charlie.
