The 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing welcomed the Air Forces Central Command command chief, Chief Master Sergeant Shelina Frey during her two-day visit Jan. 9-10.

The visit allowed Frey to see the faces of the Airmen who support and conduct the intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission overseas.

"I wanted to look into the eyes of those guys who support the area of responsibility and say 'thank you,'" said Frey. "It was nothing more than to say thank you for what you do, who you are, and enabling us to do what we do [overseas]."

Frey explained to the 432nd Wing's Airmen, both officer and enlisted, how they contribute to the Combined Forces Air Component Commander's priorities and intents by taking care of each other and getting the job done.

She was both pleased and excited by the fact that the Airmen display a passion for what they do.

Frey saw how the ISR mission is a 24/7, 365 operation that supports not only the Air Force, but also troops on the ground, and at sea to provide real time information to the warfighters to help eliminate threats.

The ISR mission is one that has become absolutely critical to our warfighting effort during the years.

In addition to learning more about Remotely Piloted Aircraft and the ISR mission, the visit gave Frey an opportunity to meet and interact with the Airmen who she says motivate her.
Frey said she was impressed with the knowledge and abilities the Airman had as they shared their role in the mission. She reminded Airmen that whatever it is that they do, they make a difference in the Air Force.

"Everywhere I go, that's the impact that I want to have," Frey said. "Hopefully I did that at Creech. I hope I made them feel like I truly meant it and that they truly mean something to me and the Air Force."
