Since opening here nearly three years ago, Cho Sun BBQ has grown their restaurant and services to answer Creech Airmen's requests.

Their latest change is their relocation to a larger facility and the addition of extended hours to include Saturdays.

Cho Sun BBQ will open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday, starting Nov. 8, as a trial run with a limited menu.

"People have been asking because they do not have a lot of hot food options here [on weekends], so we decided to open for them," said Jon Kim, Cho Sun BBQ owner. "We cannot provide everything we do on normal days, but later we can change the menu and flex the hours based on the demand we see."

Over the past couple years, Cho Sun BBQ has made several changes, such as menu additions, adding delivery, and expanding hours.

"We kept getting requests from evening shift workers to stay open later, so we changed our closing time from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and it really worked out," Kim said.

While Cho Sun BBQ first served Airmen at Edwards Air Force Base, California, they mostly operated out of a mobile tent or trailer seasonally. Creech was the first to give them a permanent facility with a seating area and atmosphere.

"I love it here," said Kim. "Everyone here is great; the people we support are amazing," Kim said. "I really enjoy getting to know all of them. When they bring their families in, it shows that they are more than just customers to me."

Cho Sun BBQ is located in the old dining facility on the south side of base, just past the air traffic control tower. They provide Korean and American cuisine, as well as a fusion, or mix, of both style of foods. They are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Saturday starting Nov. 8. Orders can be placed for delivery by calling Cho Sun BBQ at 702-757-8648. Delivery stops one hour prior to closing.
