Training at MQ-9 Reaper flight simulators
In order to fly combat 24/7/365, MQ-9 Reaper aircrew operate their weapons system through the use of a Ground Control Station, which they pilot according to a shift schedule, where crews are briefed into combat scenarios. The recent connection of 89th Attack Squadron MQ-9 simulators at Ellsworth AFB to the Distributed Mission Operations Network broadened the scope and availability of exercises the MQ-9 enterprise can participate in.
