Hunter laid to rest after 50 years MIA
Matt Davis, grandson of Col. Edgar Davis embraces a family member after his grandfather’s funeral ceremony April 6, 2018, Goldsboro, North Carolina. After being shot down over Laos during the Vietnam War in 1968, a Laotian villager buried the remains. In 2015, the villager’s son reached out regarding the location of the remains. The Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency recovered Davis’ remains in 2017. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Airman Christian Clausen)
