RPAs then and now Part II: Maintenance makes history possible
LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- A 432nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron maintainer rotates the propeller of an MQ-9 Reaper remotely piloted aircraft during a post-flight inspection Oct. 28, 2013. The MQ-9 Reaper is an armed, multi-mission, medium-altitude, long-endurance RPA that is employed primarily as an intelligence-collection asset and secondarily against dynamic execution targets. The USAF’s MQ-9 Reaper and MQ-1 Predator fleet surpassed 2 million cumulative flight hours on Oct. 22, 2013. (U.S. Air Force photo by Staff Sgt. N.B./released)
