42d ATKS change of command
CREECH AFB, Nev. – Lieutenant Colonel Christopher Gough, 42d Attack Squadron commander, accepts command from Col. William Brandt, 432d Operations Group commander, during a change of command ceremony here Aug. 1. The mission of the 42d Attack Squadron is to train combat ready MQ-9 Reaper aircrews, develop operational tactics, and conduct combat operations in support of combatant commanders worldwide. The 42d ATKS stood up November 2006, and established the first and only MQ-9 Formal Training Unit within three months, producing the first group of fully mission capable MQ-9 crews within six months and deployed the Reaper in support or Operation Enduring Freedom more than one year ahead of schedule.
