432nd Wing Airman confirmed dead

A U.S. Air Force Airman, assigned to the 30th Reconnaissance Squadron here, was confirmed dead on March 28, 2023.

The service member, identified as Airman Basic Markel Ellison, was found unresponsive by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police in an area off-base. He was rushed to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was pronounced dead.

“I am extremely saddened to learn that we have lost a valued member of our 432nd Wing family,” said Col. Eric Schmidt, 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing commander. “The whole Hunter team extends our deepest sympathies to the loved ones of Airman Ellison, and we are doing all we can to assist them during this devastating loss.”
