Master Sergeant static closeout date and CRO evaluation elimination Published Aug. 5, 2015 By Adawn Kelsey 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nevada -- According to the myPers website, Air Force Master sergeants selected for promotion to Senior Master Sergeant will receive an evaluation on the July 31, 2015 Senior Master Sergeant static closeout date. Effective June 3, 2015, all Regular Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard Master Sergeants acquire the enlisted performance report static closeout date of Sept. 30, 2015. This change will require all Airmen wearing Master Sergeant Chevrons to have an evaluation that closes out on the static closeout date of Sept. 30, 2015, and an EPR will be completed by the unit to which the Master Sergeant was assigned as of June 3, 2015. Additionally, effective June 3, 2015, change of reporting official evaluations are no longer authorized for all Master sergeants and below. The myPers website states that all Master Sergeants who are scheduled for a Change of Reporting Official evaluation, will have their closeout date aligned with the static closeout date of Sept. 30, 2015, and evaluation reason changed to 'Annual'. If a CRO is due to permanent change of station or permanent change of assignment, the losing unit may opt to complete a draft evaluation instead of an AF Form 77, Letter of Evaluation and send the draft evaluation with the Airman. It is also specified that the elimination includes change of reporting official evaluations for Master Sergeants in permanent change of station status with a report no later date between June 3, 2015, and Sept. 30, 2015. If the Airman's report no later than date is 102 days or more from Sept. 30, 2015, the gaining unit will complete the evaluation with a closeout date of Sept. 30, 2015. If the Airman's report no later than date is 119 or less, the losing unit will process the evaluation with a closeout date of Sept. 30, 2015.
