Chief Master Sergeant MARK A. DIEHL

CMSgt Mark A. Diehl is Command Chief Master Sergeant at 423d Wing and 423d Air Expeditionary Wing, Creech Air Force Base, Nevada. He is the principal advisor to the Wing Commander on operational matters and issues affecting the health, morale, welfare, readiness, and effective utilization of more than 5,000 active duty and government civilians in five groups. Additionally, the 432d Wing consists of 21 squadrons, including three geographically separated squadrons at locations across the United States, training pilots, sensor operators, intelligence professionals and other crew members to conduct persistent attack and reconnaissance combat operations worldwide. The 423d Air Expeditionary Wing conducts MQ-9 and RQ-170 deployed operations in support of Combatant Commands across the globe.

Chief Diehl enlisted in the Air Force in July 2001 and completed security forces technical training in December of that same year. He has held a variety of positions within the security forces career field. Additionally, he served in the First Sergeant developmental special duty career field. He has also deployed in support of Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and INHERENT RESOLVE. Prior to this assignment, he served as the Security Forces Functional Assignment Manager, Headquarters Air Force Personnel Center, Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph, Texas.
