Reaper showcased at JB Charleston Air & Space Expo
JOINT BASE CHARLESTON, S.C. — Remotely piloted aircraft pilots, sensor operators and maintenance personnel from Creech Air Force Base, Nev., showcased their MQ-9 Reaper alongside science, technology, engineering and math displays April 27-28, 2018, at the Joint Base Charleston Air & Space Expo at JB Charleston, S.C.

Creech AFB makes strides against sexual assault
CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month is a military and civilian observance that takes place during April with the goal to eliminate sexual assault within the armed forces. In line with the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing’s priority to support the Hunter family, the base participates in campaigns such as SAAPM to ensure the well-being of service members and their families while contributing to a safer future.

MQ-9 Reaper makes 2018 debut at Columbus Air and Space Expo
COLUMBUS AIR FORCE BASE, Miss. — The MQ-9 Reaper display made its debut for the 2018 season at the Wings Over Columbus Air and Space Expo April 21, at Columbus Air Force Base, Miss. Aircrew, intelligence and maintenance Airmen from the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing briefed attendees in the MQ-9 display area and communicated the capabilities of the aircraft, explained the 432nd’s mission and addressed any misinformation regarding the Remotely Piloted Aircraft enterprise.

Hunter laid to rest after 50 years MIA
SEYMOUR JOHNSON AIR FORCE BASE, N.C. — U.S. Air Force Col. Edgar “Felton” Davis, an RF-4C Phantom navigator during the Vietnam War, was laid to rest after 50 years deceased with full military honors April 6, 2018, in his hometown of Goldsboro, North Carolina. Davis was shot down over Laos Sept. 17, 1968 during a reconnaissance mission while assigned to 11th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron under the 432nd Tactical Reconnaissance Wing and was declared deceased when the first search for his remains yielded no results. The Defense Prisoner of War/Missing In Action Accounting Agency discovered Davis’ remains in December 2017.

Creech Airmen receive Las Vegas Citizen of the Month award
CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — The men and women who execute the Remotely Piloted Aircraft mission at Creech were presented with the April Las Vegas Citizen of the Month award April 4, 2018 at the Las Vegas City Hall. “On behalf of Ward 6 and the city of Las Vegas, I want to thank the men and women of Creech Air Force Base for what they do – thank you,” said Las Vegas city councilwoman Michele Fiore.

RPA attack squadron honors 100 years of training, combat
CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — In the 100 years since its activation, the 78th Attack Squadron, now at Creech, has taken on a myriad of missions and locations. It now maintains combat-ready reservists who conduct MQ-1 Predator and MQ-9 Reaper Remotely Piloted Aircraft training, as well as, integrated and expeditionary combat operations.

RPA Wing celebrates 75 years of accomplishment
CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — Members of the 432nd Wing celebrated its 75th anniversary and the many achievements the wing accomplished throughout its history, Feb. 22, 2018 at Creech. The unit was activated as the 432nd Observation Group Feb. 22, 1943 at Alachua Army Air Field, Fla. as the nation prepared for WWII.

Doolittle legacy honored, RPA aviators continue to deliver justice
ARLINGTON, VA. — There were moments, which through their pure magnitude galvanized the nation, inspiring those to act, forever altering the fabric of our lives. In the weeks following the attack on Pearl Harbor, one group of men would attempt the impossible and forever shift the course of history. Today, these men, known simply as the Doolittle Raiders, continue to inspire Airmen to defend the nation, hunting down her enemies and delivering justice, anytime, anywhere.

Childcare provider program aims to help RPA families
CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — Airmen stationed here, juggling childcare needs while supporting a 24/7/365 mission can be challenging. However, the Family Child Care office at Nellis AFB, Nev., is developing solutions to help Creech members balance their home and work life by supplementing childcare needs in the Northwest part of the Las Vegas community. “The FCC provider program allows for providers to do childcare out of their homes,” said Regina Mullins, Nellis and Creech FCC chief. “Having providers in the (local) area allows for a home environment with a smaller ratio of adults to children and helps offset costs.”

Fight’s On: CSAF shares combat-minded perspective
CREECH AIR FORCE BASE, Nev. — Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David L. Goldfein toured Creech for an in-depth look at the Remotely Piloted Aircraft enterprise and the many Airmen who work around the clock to assure mission success Jan. 9, 2017. As a former MQ-9 Reaper pilot, Goldfein has previous experience within the RPA community. However, on this visit, he had the opportunity to tour the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing and base operations.
