Calling all Hunters: Commanders talk mission updates with RPA Airmen

Col. Julian Cheater, 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Jamie Newman, 432nd WG/432nd AEW command chief hosted a commander’s call, at Creech, Mar. 8, 2019. This all-call provided 432nd WG leadership with the ability to update Airmen at Creech, as well as the geographically separated units at Ellsworth, Shaw and Whiteman Air Force Bases.

Creech first sergeants host annual DUI, drug awareness event

The Creech First Sergeant’s Council hosted an annual anti-drug town hall and DUI awareness course at Creech March 7, 2019. The event included briefings by Creech first sergeants, the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Treatment office, and the Nellis Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations, to name a few.

SECAF announces resignation

Upon a favorable final vote by the regents, Secretary of the Air Force Heather Wilson announced her resignation March 8, after serving in her position as the service’s top civilian since May 2017, to accept the role as president of the University of Texas at El Paso.

RPA Airmen strengthen relationships at Australia airshow

Airmen with the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing travelled to the Australian International Airshow in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, to display the MQ-9 Reaper for the Australian and international crowds, Feb. 26 - Mar. 3, 2019. Reaper crews have made their way across the United States to attend airshows such as this one, but this is their first time in the Pacific Air Forces Command area of responsibility and Australia.

One team: Chaplain supports Tyndall Airmen in hurricane aftermath

As Airmen at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, were sifting through the belongings and memories left in the wreckage of their homes, military members from around the country were making their way to the sunshine state to provide support after a Category 4 hurricane. Hurricane Michael left all of the 867 Tyndall homes and 99 percent of the base’s other buildings damaged.

732nd OSS activates, sets RPA group up for success

The 732nd Operations Support Squadron activated under the 732nd Operations Group at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, Jan. 23, 2019. The new unit, dubbed the “Archers,” will provide the support required for the MQ-9 Reaper attack squadrons within the 732nd OG to seamlessly execute their persistent attack and reconnaissance missions.

Creech held a grand opening for a long-sought Community Commons location, Jan. 31, 2019. Leadership from the 432nd Wing/432nd Air Expeditionary Wing and 99th Air Base Wing were in attendance and ushered in yet another addition to Creech morale, welfare and recreation infrastructure.
