Creech hosted a grand opening for its own recreational vehicle storage lot, December 3, 2018. The lot is considered Creech's first morale, welfare and readiness facility, and will allow Creech personnel the option to store their RVs on the base.

MWD Kiara wags her way to retirement

Three assignments, nine years and 10 handlers later, 799th Security Forces Squadron military working dog, Kiara, has retired from her time in the U.S. Air Force. Her retirement ceremony was held Nov. 15, 2018, at Creech Air Force Base, Nevada, where fellow Airmen paid due respect by honoring her legacy.

Disturbed, USO get Creech ‘down with sickness’

The USO brought heavy-metal band Disturbed to Creech to meet the Airmen behind the Remotely Piloted Aircraft mission and perform the base’s first-ever concert Oct. 23, 2018. “The music is meant to empower,” said David Draiman, lead vocalist of Disturbed. “It’s meant to strengthen people; it’s meant to strip away fear and to give you the gumption you need to triumph over adversity.”

The MQ-9 Reaper was this year’s featured aircraft for the 22nd annual Air Force Marathon Sept. 13-15, 2018 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Phantom of Takur Ghar: The Predator above Roberts Ridge

A once quiet landscape turned battlefield, the clash of gunfire and shouts ripped through the Shahi-Kot Valley in the early hours of March 4, 2002. As part of an early war effort that targeted al Qaeda and Taliban forces in Afghanistan, the Battle of Roberts Ridge is still known as one of the deadliest engagements during Operation Anaconda. Above the Takur Ghar mountain top, an MQ-1 Predator aircrew became an unforeseen, close air support asset for a desperate joint special operations team in their time of need.
